What is a Web Server?
A web-server is a special computer that holds your website’s files and images. When a browser requests a web page from your site, the server responds by sending them the page they asked for through the internet wherever they are in the world.
How do I get my emails / how do I send emails?
Email accounts (mailboxes) can be accessed in several convenient ways.
- Using an email “app” on your phone (e.g. Gmail) ,
- Using an email programme on your computer such as MicroSoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, or
- Using your web browser using “webmail”.
